Movement orders ignored???
In an PBEM MP game (playing LA Ermor), I sent orders for a large army (14+ commanders, hundreds of undead) to move to a neighboring province, and the move did not occur. There was no battle ocurring in the originating province, and no random event, so I see no reason why the move would have been blocked.
Is there some weird reason why the move would have not been executed, or is this possibly a bug?

Re: Movement orders ignored???
Occasionally when you click on a commander for example to examine his stats/magic items etc...the movement order you issued turns to defend instead. This can happen with 14+ commanders when using ctrl/shift to give loads of commanders the same move, examine 1 and all the orders change to defend.
Always use F1 when you have done your turn just to check for any defend orders where there should have been move orders or indeed sneak orders that should be move orders and vice versa.
Your not on your own btw this has caught me out more than once.

Yeah, that's happened to me too. BUT, that's not it this time. I can look at the order files as I attached it to the email, and in that file the movement order is still in place. So, whatever happened this time, that's not it.

Re: Movement orders ignored???
Errmm...I seem to remember another player having this problem playing LA Ermor, is your army huge?
It could be a bug involving armies that are too big...but this is just a wild guess from a discussion in another thread.

I would say large, but not huge. Maybe 14 commanders and around 400-500 undead.
What I worry about is if I take the same army and give it the same orders is it going to fail all over again next turn?

Re: Movement orders ignored???
Did the target province have a fort in it? There was a bug in dom2 where you could have your move orders ignored if you were trying to move onto a fort in certain conditions. Maybe it wasnt fixed?

Re: Movement orders ignored???
This has happenned to me a few times. The only way to get out of it seems to be to stop the groups movement orders, and one at a time reissue them. If you order them as a group, they just stay still again.
