Default Bragging Rights Mod ???

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a 'Bragging Rights Mod' and I hope one exists. A Bragging Rights Mod (BRM) would have the following.

Since this game would have human players only, it would have the ability to tailor it's maps to allow an equal starting position for everyone. Hence it would have a 5 sided map for 5 players, a 6 sided map for 6 players, etc.

All the planets would be the same at a given distance from a player's homeworld. Planets 3 spaces out would all be tiny, 5 spaces out would be small, 7 spaces out would be medium, etc.

Each system would be EXACTLY the same in layout. Equal number of tiny, small, medium, large, huge.

Without going into a lot of detail, everything would have to be the same. Planets per system, stars per system, warp points, etc.

Why all the equality? For a bragging rights game, conditions need to be equal for everyone, that way, the losers can't whine about so and so's starting position was better than mine, etc. Winning the game comes down to skill and guile, not luck.

Does anything like this exist? Anything close possibly that could be made to my specifications where a noob could do the rest of the editing?

Any help would be appreciated.

You can make it with the map editor that comes with the game.

There is a balanced systems mod out there, by Geoschmo, that makes the systems have balanced numbers of planet types and atmospheres. A version of it is including in FQM, but I don't recall if I ever updated it to the latest. Mods can't do anything to help with "5-sided maps" in SE4, however. For that part, you would have to edit the map in the map editor (It is generally better to generate a map in-game, save it, and load it in the editor, than to generate it directly in the editor.

There was a symmetrical map made for the Universe Cup tournament, which accomplishes most of what you're asking for.
