W9 bless - Quickness
Hi,
I tried a W9 bless with Niefelhem (giants) EA. W9 is supposed to give +4 defense and quickness.
When I checked the stats of the blessed giants during a battle, they had the +4 defense and increased movement, but not the bonus to attack and defense (+3 to each) that the spell "quickness" gives. By taking W9 bless I was aiming for +7 defense.
Is the quickness from W9 bless not the same as the quickness spell ?

Re: W9 bless - Quickness
Yep, its not the same. The bless 9 quickness gives you 50% more action points which means an additional half attack each combat turn. You can still cast quickness.

Hello Yrkoon,
Some time ago I asked the same question; if you like to have a look to the answers I got, here's the link:

In essence, quickness granted from a W9 bless works as Calmon said

Jade Armor increases a W9 blessed prophet's AP. So yes, it stacks.

Re: W9 bless - Quickness
If I equip Jade Armour and then cast quicken self, would they stack so I am super fast?
Or is Jade Armour the exact same effect as quicken self and therefore a waste of time equiping a unit who can cast quicken self?
Further more would a W9 bless+heroic quickness+quicken self all stack? Has anyone had this?

Re: W9 bless - Quickness
why not throw a sword of swiftness into the mix while you're at it?

Its the same and don't stack. Water mages don't necessarily need quickness items like Jade Armor or Boots of Quickness.
The sword of Swiftness doesn't give quickness. It has a good defence modifier and 2 attacks but nothing more.

Correct, it's the same effect. (the boots of quickness too)

Yup, should stack. Still only one spell per turn(unless cast from an item), but your spellcaster might do some annoying running foward too.
