#startspell worked within DOM_2 and was great for making an AI opponent intensely more challenging. For example you could select an AI opponent which doesn't use blood magic, then give them a non_moving blood caster, magic site(s) with blood income and specific blood spells. As long as the AI nation had death magic it would be marching armies of demon knights or whatever two or three blood spells you provided.
