Re: Lugh the Long Handed??
In a sense. Celtic mythology specifically has lots of references to Tuatha and other mythological peoples slipping in and out of this world through a veil. They were seen when they wanted to be seen. This was especially true towards the end of the Tuatha cycle, where the Tuatha were driven underground by invaders. It was there they donned the name sidhe and could become invisible at will.
The Fairy Courts depended on a glamour type of ability as well to keep from being seen when they did not want to be. So atleast in the mythology behind the celtic nations, there are lots of instances to back up giving units glamour.
As far as the Heims go. It has been a long time since I have read the Edda, but off the top of my head I cannot remember instances of the Aesir or Vanir interacting with mortals and using glamour. In most the Norse stories, the Gods interact with one another or against the Frost Giants. In these stories it is very common for them to shape shift and beguiling an enemy was a prized virtue in Norse Mythology.
I would not be surprised if there are stories where Aesir or Vanir trick mortals through glamour, because treachery seemed to be such a prized virtue to the Norse Gods and was viewed as an act of wisdom.

Re: Lugh the Long Handed??
In Dom2 there were references to the Vanir and the Sidhe of Man being related, basically separate nations of similar beings probably with common ancestry.

Re: Lugh the Long Handed??
His powerlevel is certainly very high, although I´d still rank Kirke and Tjatse higher. It seems that stealthy is missing though from his list of abilities.

Re: Lugh the Long Handed??
What about Markata heroes? I've just finished the first draft of Sun Wukong the Monkey King. So, what about a markata mage with 30 prot, mag res 18, immunity to everything, immortality, maxage 10000, 100% regeneration, glamour, flight, stealth? Oh, and he also has a Magic Wishing Staff with dmg 20, att 3, def 5 and len 6.

Re: Lugh the Long Handed??
Nah, what about I'll just publish the mod? I think I'll add it to the same thread with my Brothers of the Cave heroes for Agartha.

Agreed! Lugh's HP aren't crazy, so he's certainly killable. Beats the pants off crap heroes like Rhianne though. She's good ... for uh, maybe driving a bus full of archers around.
What happens with Glamor and no Stealth? Can Lugh sneak? The H4 is pretty whack, especially if sneaking works.

Re: Lugh the Long Handed??
No stealth -> no stealth. Glamour is innate +20 to stealth if it happens to exist, but won't make you stealthy. It's pretty much Chainmail of Deception's power.

Re: Lugh the Long Handed??
Actually, glamour adds precisely 0 to existing stealth, but for thematic reasons all glamour units that do have stealth have been assigned a +25 modifier. The mechanics haven't changed much from Dom2, afaik, and that game had glmaour units with stealth 0, like the Mother of Tuathas, which has since been fixed.
