and other people use comments all the time, including the example mod that I got with the game so I dont think its the comments that are bugging it out...

I think its something to do with the tga's and paths

ok, well I finally figured out what the problem is, the quotation marks where from microsoft word (I made the text in word originally ), so that was what was bugging it, so I fixed all that up, but now I have a holiness error, I rmember amos had same problem with his Insectoid mod so Im going to look at the thread and work out how 2 fix it...

ill post my mod when its up and going, and im going to add some more creatures to it =]

Holiness error can be from two causes: either you created a unit with holy magic but without #holy attribute, or you created a pretender with holy magic which causes problems for some people.

I think the reason the comments were bugging out the NI mod actually may be because they were done like this...

#selectmonter 1234 -- new monster name.

In the ones where it seems to work it is done like...

#selectmonster 1234
-- new monster name

I would have expected it to give an error with either implementation if it was going to give it one way.

I am glad you figured out what the main problem was with the quotations. I am looking forward to see a beta of your mod
