Re: No interest in tournament games?
Yeah - blitzes don't appeal to a lot of players, and non-blitzes aren't suited to tournament play - six month games and all that.

Re: No interest in tournament games?
Its a good idea DrPraetorius but I did not have any spare time to join.
I think there may be a summer lull thing going on as well. A few games have started recently as well and they all seem to be filling slowly so its not just your tournament games.

Re: No interest in tournament games?
I would love a tournament game, but do you have to start it on the summer ?. Im going away and im guessing people have a lot else to do than play dominions during the summer (might be just me but I doubt it).

Re: No interest in tournament games?
For me it's both being too busy (lots of games have started recently, plus I am working on my server), and also the fact that I can never make a weekend blitz.

Re: No interest in tournament games?
I'll join my voice in with everybody else that I'm at my game limit right now and can't commit to a blitz.

Re: No interest in tournament games?
Sounds like the Ladder, and the MP Hall of Fame, and other efforts. People seem to like them but they dont seem to go well. If you want, I can hold off creating new blitzes on my server in order to generate interest in the tourney games.
As a seperate item:
there was interest in the "Sitting on the fence" thread in setting up games where all of the Early Ulm people could play each other to decide who had the best Early Ulm build (and one for each other nation). It would require some modding.

Re: No interest in tournament games?
It would also only work for nations that can be achieved by modding - meaning that any nation with udnerwater and land recruitment both, any nation with freespawn, and any nation with a cool dominion power (Arco, MA Agartha) couldn't be done this way.
