Does old age really affect Ermor

So I want to leave Gift of Health up?! The only reason I have it up is to keep my opponent from casting it. I didn't think it would do any good for LA Ermor. I was about to dispel it to recover the slot for Burden of Time--something I thought would be harmless other than to my clam-making nerieds and a few militia that haven't managed to die yet.
