I thought it was "When at least half of the remaining players wish to change over we'll move it up to 48", not "at least half of players don't mind to change to 48"?
NVM, this way I'll soon find myself asking for a sub. The new semester--the final--begin in two weeks.

Players indicated their preferences as below with the unmentioned being counted as a vote against switching to 48 hours...
Digress - 48
CUnknown - 48
carlosib - Live with 48
Lingchih - Live with 48
Fal - Live with 48
I counted "I could live with 48 hours" as a vote for it.
"I could live with 48 hour hosting", to me, means "I don't want to switch over to 48 hour hosting unless someone else needs it, in which case I can live with it". Since two players expressly asked for 48 hour hosting, I felt like it was time to switch since 5 people is a clear majority out of the 7 remaining players.
