Well that was a sobering experience. Over 200 troops including casters backed up by some PD face about 40 giants and didn't even inflict a single casualty while taking grievous losses. My inexperience as Arco and MP games shined through on that one. I've never had that much problem with the giants before. A combination of their owner's skill and I usually don't play the more 'standard' nations mixed with my research choices. Dang SP games have me too complacent.

I have to say that even with that, the pegasus riders have performed miserably. Even vs the indies earlier and especially in this battle, they just have not done well at all.
