Technically, you don't need a separate player program. SE IV will play any music CD in the drive.
You can use Settings.txt to control which tracks get played on the intro screen, in the background during your turn, and during combat.

Re: Black Hole AI and strange music?
Thanks for the answers to my sound question!
But, to go back again, what is with the Ai and Black Holes? Does anybody know, if this will be fixed? If the Ai would handle those Black Holes a little bit smarter, the enemies would be a much more callenge!
Any answer would be very nice!
Greetings from Germany

Re: Black Hole AI and strange music?
Von: I don't know if the AI is improved in Gold as far as Black holes go, but a lot of ppl here switch off black holes in vsAI games by altering the galaxy generation files.
As for music... How about some classical- all the tunes from 2001 films / Elite series of games...
I like "Ride of the Valkyies" in battle, except it always makes me think of that Bugs Bunny cartoon set at the Opera - "Kill da wabbit, Kill da wabbit" - and then I start laughing...

Re: Black Hole AI and strange music?
Val, I should point out that lawyers ALWAYS has a suitable response up their sleeves and ALWAYS have the Last word, even if it is only 'here is your bill'
