I have some problems with sluggish play with firing in both windowed or full screen mode. I just live with it as its not so bad to be unplayable.

Have you upgraded your drivers?

Re: winSPMBT and WinSPWW2 and VISTA
There are also several tweaks and perference changes you can make to have firing faster. What are your preference settings?

Yes, a change to a new operating system may require tweaking of the individual preferences settings. It would be helpful to know if you have tried altering them in any way. It makes it easier to help others when we know what has or hasn't been tried if problems arise. Every machine if different in it's hardware and softwear combinations.

Re: winSPMBT and WinSPWW2 and VISTA
Some time ago I tried both WinSPMBT and WinSPWW2 under Vista, but on my system they ran only good in windowed mode. Fullscreen was nearly unplayable due to lags/slowdowns.
Meanwhile, I purchased the CD-Version and play in windowed mode, but for me the fonts are quite too small at all resolutions in windowed mode.

Re: winSPMBT and WinSPWW2 and VISTA
Was this machine built for Vista or an upgrade? If an upgrade to Vista from XP did you upgrade your video drivers or try to alter the games graphics delay etc. settings?

Re: winSPMBT and WinSPWW2 and VISTA
It was a complete new clean system installation of Vista.
The Video drivers were the latest from Nvidia. In my opionion, these lags/slowdows are caused by the video drivers.

OK, in the first email you said this was "some time ago" which sounds like very close to when Vista was released . Have you checked for new drivers from Nvidia lately?

Re: winSPMBT and WinSPWW2 and VISTA
I have no problems with either SPMBT or SPWW2 on either of my machines.
I did have to turn off the introduction.
