Re: Mongoose - Full - but please still post if kee
My address is the same, but 'llamabeast' instead of 'turns'. Anyway, I've got access to all the accounts. I'm going to sort out the chaos in a couple of hours, and hopefully get the game started (I think everyone's sent in at least one pretender now!).

Re: Mongoose - Full - but please still post if kee
And we're started! Hurrah! Many apologies about the delays and confusion. I've been less able than normal to keep things organised because I've just moved house and don't have internet access at home yet.
You should all have received an e-mail with the first turn in it, which also contains rough instructions on what to do. More details can be found if necessary in the LlamaServer FAQ, which should be linked in my signature. But basically it's very straightforward, just take your turn and send the 2h file back to the e-mail address you got the trn file from. You don't have to put any text in the heading or body of the e-mail.
Enjoy the game guys. The first turn has a 48 hour deadline in case of problems, and after that we're on a 24 hour timer (note that the time will move forward if people all get their turns in early).

PS Look at the first post for final line-up and nation assignments. In recent changes/additions Loren's got Arco, Eldanesh Ulm and WonderLlama Caelum.

Re: Mongoose - Full - but please still post if kee
Alright guys, tips for a fun game:
- Engage in lots of diplomacy. It's fun. Send messages to your neighbours, preferably in the character of your nation. Make threats, deals and alliances. One thing though - if you actually agree to a deal (such as peace for n turns, or exchanging items), do stick to it, otherwise you are likely to upset other players and make the game unfun.
- Post in-character stuff on this thread. See Tuidjy's posts on the "Neo Xekinima" thread for an excellent example of this. I really enjoy reading that thread.
People always say the most fun games are the ones with lots of messages flying around and posts on the forum. Silent games are fun too, but miss out on one cool element of multiplayer play - they're a bit more like single player versus very competent AIs.

And another PS - you shouldn't need anything like 48 hours for the first turn, try to all get it done ASAP, it's nice if the game moves fast at the start.
