A surefire way of getting that damn pig:
1) Cast Wild Sow
2) Lie in wait with small army
3) ...
4) Bacon!
Works every time  If you're in a hurry, tie the summoned Wild Sow to a cask of beer and stand back

Well I've finally been able to capture the pig at all the targeted provinces, but I needed the help of flying units.
Only one province remains where the pig has not been captured and this province has 64 province defence and over 100 troops patrolling. I'll see if flying units work for capturing the pig here as well.

I also got a random event in which a demon possesses a pig and ravages your province. Made me think of that monster from Doom II, but I didn't have a chainsaw handy. I think a certain developer has a penchant for piggies.  |

There's a similar event for brigands, you get a brigand leader and his troops causing unrest.
