Default Playing through firewall

A friend and I were trying to play a TCP/IP
game. We both set our pc's in the DMZ. When
I tried to connect, I got 'Could not connect'
error, but the host showed that I had connected.

Has anyone gotten TCP/IP to work through
a firewall (both of us are using Linksys)

Thanks,
JohnG

I don't think it will work through a NAT firewall, unless possibly you configure the firewall rules specifically to handle it.

I have a Linksys, but haven't tried SE4 through it yet. My Linksys does have an a setup page to configure Port Forwarding which should allow the SE4 ports to come through.

Or SE4 should work if the PC's are in the DMZ, i.e. on the Internet side of the routers.

Do you have software firewalls running? Try disabling them.

If you are running XP have you disabled the internal firewall? .
