Consider yourself a worthy warrier in the eyes of Kahless and his Bat'leth for you will be on your way to Sto'vo'kor!

Boy, now I know why those trekkers made so much fun of.

Very cool history!!!!
But if you can keep writing at the same rate during all the game, I think that you're more crazy than the average SE4 player (and God, the average SE4 player is a complete madman!).
Please, if the guardians in the asylum let you write, please please continue!!
Oh oh... the Doctor is coming to my cell with a syringe again...

Thanks for the many encouragements. The writing might help me to finish this game instead of killing if early and starting a new one.

---------------------------------------

Let me buy you a drink, friend. Have you seen the latest numbers from Yoshri (the system where battle rages between the Klingon and the Jraenar)? Terrible...we outnumbered them 2 to 1, and still the colony on Yoshri 3 found itself guarded by a single destroyer. An old destroyer at that. I hear the old man of that ship had his vessel whizzing around, dodging capital ship missles like they were balls in a kids game. Two light cruisers, he toyed with. Brilliant tactics. But for all his fancy flying, they pushed him back from his orbit around the planet, and right as relief would arrive, one of the Jraenar ships released a volley at the planet killing some 6 million colonists. I say, what's the use in getting awards for beautiful loops and fancy tricks. He should have flown into the missles instead of looping around them like some kind of warrior artist. Too many of those these days.

Friend, I say, the war is beginning to smolder. We are twice what the Jraenar are and we cannot protect our own borders. Ship after ship, like rogue flies, they enter Yoshri. And our forces race about the system trying to bring them all down. Since then, I hear we've given up terraforming Yoshri. We hold a lone colony in that system now, I am sure you know it. It's a small, distant place. The Jraenar have great need for carbon dioxide atmospheres, and no doubt *grins* that is why Klingons are keeping that particular planet warm. The High Counsel has dispatched one of two new prototype cruiser class ships to the Yoshri system, claiming it can defeat the foe at two to one odds. Their fancy *** simulators tell them this rubbish. The Jraenar are ruthless and lack honor and are therefore worthy of death, but one thing they are not, is predictable. I doubt they fear us, friend. Not nearly as much as we fear them. The Jraenar ships are moving away from missle technology and have begun using phased beams, which have a greater range than our bLasters and at point blank can tear our ships out of the sky. It is no wonder our scientists are trying hard to duplicate this technology. Yes, I talk like I fear them. I know. I am a pessimist friend. A patriot, but a pessimist.

We must be discreet about this...and what I am about to reveal can cost you your life, were you to...well, if someone else were to....I think you know. A compromise between the peaceful faction and the ruling faction of the Counsel has been reached. Gol'par does not wish to see Klingons die, just like the rest of us. He's an opportunist of the broadest sort, if you get my meaning. Haha! Our scientists are several months away from it, but we are perfecting the use of drop ships and ground troops. Our construction yards stand ready. Do you know what this means? Invasion, friend. If our diplomats cannot convince the Jraenar to cease their attacks, we shall have little choice but to take their worlds one by one...until they comply or cease to be as a free people. Yes, friend, the knife maker is richer yet...old wisdom says it is the sign of a Klingon golden age. We're also enroute to set up mine fields along the Klingon/Jraenar border. Most of the mines are built, but we do not have enough layers to spread them around. This should slow their intrusive nature. In Yoshri, we presently have 8 ships scattered around the system, all guarding one single colony. In the adjoining system, Forlon, Kol's old fleet, consisting of five older ships, sits guarding a warp point leading into the other half of the Jraenar system. A main concern of mine is the age of our ships. Many cannot return to be refitted due to the war, and we do not have the resources to redo them all at once. I hear the mineral stock piles are at their lowest ever.

But that brings me to the good news. As you may know, if you have studied the Klingon star charts, that Kronos is located in relation to the center of the galaxy half way between the west edge and the center...right along the equator of the galaxy. From sensors, star charts, predictions of warp points and just from lack of activity, we believe that the entire southwestern quadrant of the galaxy is uninhabited. Scouts ships are on their way to map it and uncover any life. If it is true, that it is uninhabited, because of position, we should have sole access to it. Already our strategists have seen the grand design, and are positioning forces to choke off this area from the rest of the galaxy. If we are able to colonize this as of yet, uncharted area, we will rule over nearly a 5th of the galaxy. M class planets have been so far extremely rare...this area must have them in order for this empire to grow...otherwise we will have to tie up research for years to come trying to find a way to colonize ice planets....and have you ever heard of a Klingon building snow men?

We've encountered another race. Sent on a deep space scouting mission, a destroyer class, loaded with extra supplies, left Kronos to find the Drushocka. After coming to the galactic edge in a system called Lenoltris, where a great beastish black hole attempted to suck them in, they turned north in to Butukret, a wasteland nebulae. From there, it went west into Marjoram...the homesystem of the Drushocka. Before the captain of that ship stood the sparkling home world of the Drushocka. Several warships raced out to meet our destroyer. Years ago the Drushocka declared war on us, and we had not seen them since. Our emmissary stated they were on a scouting mission of peace, not to gather intelligence, but simply to meet and greet, as it is said. The Drushocka surrounded our innocent vessel, and most likely through some elaborate trickery, took the crew hostage and bLasted the empty hull into nothingness. That day we encountered a new race, the Fluidic Space Imperium, who are allied with the Drushocka. Naturally, our diplomats distrusted them. However, their smooth tongues and honey-ed words filled our diplomats with awe and wonder. They negotiated the release of our imprisoned scout crew. Since then the High Counsel has taken up a tight alliance with the Fluidic Space Imperium. I smell Gol'par on this one. There is something to gain here. Otherwise, why would the Klingon High Counsel take in as a friend someone who can also befriend the Drushocka. The Imperium is obviously playing us for fools against each other. Their are no peace makers in space. Because of the location of the Drushocka homeworld, we now suspect the Drushocka behind the battered state of the Norak. Maybe it is high time we convince the Norak to side with us.

The Last thing I'll mention, since I see your glass is almost empty is a little known secret called Gergan. Do you know it? It is a system, which the general public thinks still as yet unexplored. However, one of our colony ships from Yoshri fled a small raiding force of Jraenar ships. Some lunatic in the High Counsel sent a ship loaded with colonists as a deep space scout. I suppose someone thought it might save time, as they were bound to find a suitable planet. They attempted to skirt around the Jraenar border, but ran into as I said, a raiding party. They chased it through their own adjoining system, Eurul, but left off in Gergan. Out of fuel and unable to return through Jraenar territory, they picked a world and set up shop. They transmit sporadically. Last we heard a Jraenar ship was close and they are without defenses. They are attempting to set up a makeshift mine field around the planet just to buy some time for their construction yard to get up and running.

That is the whole tragedy of Yoshri. We needed Yoshri 3 to help link up and save Gergan. I fear now that we can do little to help. Qa'pla!!!

STATISTICS: turn 55
Klingon=23 planets, 29 ships, 1st place
Drushocka=11th place (the war between them and the Norak must be costly)
Jraenar=6th place
Norak= 13th place
Fluidic Space Imperium = 5th place

We meet again this side of Sto'vokor, friend. The chances of that. Do you know where I've been these Last months? Why aboard a destroyer class in the Forlon system. No, I wasn't there when the Jraenar nearly forced a bridge head. I had just left. But let me begin where I Last left off. Ah, yes, the hopeless colony in Gergan. But the tale doesn't begin there, it begins two systems over...that's right, in Yoshri. Do you remember when the Jraenar destroyed Yoshri 3? What a damned stupid blunder...leaving it open like they did. But did they learn? Hell, no. The trial is still going on. You would think not many would be left to try for tactical errors if every local commander is bLasted off the face of a planet, but you know the High Counsel and the Judges they appoint. Ruthless and meticulous. A squadron of war ships were stationed on Yoshri 9 when Yoshri 3 fell. Two Jraenar ships were on a course to attack Yoshri 9. Some think the Jraenar planned it this way; others think it was pure luck. Our squadron of warships intercepted their top of the line light cruisers. The fighting was hell. We lost one destroyer and two more left the fight bleeding everything you can bleed from a ship. A third Jraenar ship quickly out ran our returning squadron and arrived at Yoshri 9 ahead of it. When the two beat up ships pulled into orbit, scanners weren't even activated. They could see the smoke from the colonized areas burning from space. Another 21 million Klingons dead. I've never been much good at math, but I figure the casualties are about neck and neck.

The commander of the eastern fleets was axed. A prodigy was put in his place. Within 3 months, he'd chased the Jraenar from Yoshri and set up a tight perimeter. Soon the first shipment of interstellar mines arrived...not a host of them mind you, but enough to allow time to rebuild the eastern front. Yoshri has since been repopulated. I question the sense in it. Yoshri is still not completely safe for civilians and scientists. Of the three new colonies in Yoshri two are research stations, with a hefty military presence.

I know you love war stories, friend, so I will tell you a grand one. The Battle of the Nizzarum Warp Point. The Jraenar had previously sent a scout ship through the warp point into Forlon, right into our back yard. Two things the High Counsel knew could get them...that the war in Yoshri had drug too many ships too far east, leaving Forlon semi-unprotected, and the age of our fleets. Some still used the model A Meson BLaster...the kind that overheat after two pulses. Rusting armor. Slow engines. Sure enough, friend, I had just left one of those ships. I had walked down those cold damp halls. I remember some of the faces friend. Have you ever been on one of those old destroyers? Of course not, you run a book store. Well, I tell you, the halls in some places are so tight two men passing each other can't help but to hit shoulders. Some of those ships hadn't see space dock in 2 years. A previous scout ship had damaged the only light cruiser stationed on the warp point to Nizzarum. It had left a week before for repairs. And then, two ultra modern Jraenar light cruisers jump through the warp point. The three destroyers didn't even react until the Jraenar are well out of the gravity of the WP and into open space where they could maneuver. Our three ships fired first. Their first volley drained the shields of the leader, but didn't even completely pierce the armor. The Jraenar returned fire. Their phased beams, an erie yellowish streak, as the first shot seared the paint from the leading destroyer. They had trouble hitting our smaller ships...which despite their age do have better evasive technology. However, several shots did find the lead destroyer, first few knock out the armor, one clipped the forward bLasters and somewhere in the thick volley, one of the beams scored a direct hit on the bridge. As the other two ships persued and passed their completely disabled comrad, they could see only a blackened eye...where the bridge used to be. The rest of the bridgeless ship was relatively intact, and from the sub-space logs of the battle, a bright young ensign in engineering, quickly rerouted tactical and fired everything the ship had at the fleeing Jraenar war ship. Every single shot lit up its rear end reducing the poor bastard to one engine. The other two destroyers finished him off. However, the other Jraenar ship swung around and crippled another destroyer and took out half of its weapons. The remaining Klingon vessel in a brave gesture flew straight at the Jraenar ship, but alas, it was too slow, and never got within range of the ship. The Jraenar soon finished them both off. Hearing of the battle, the light cruiser in space dock, raced to the WP, hoping to catch the Jraenar ship before the Klingon debris got cold. She was there. Lurking and waiting for reinforcements. Toe to toe the Klingon vessel would't Last long with the Jraenar ship, being slower. Gau'qan, the captain, knew it would take at least two volleys to do any damage to the Jraenar vessel. He waited as the ship closed in...and right before it would reach its own firing range, Gau'qan ordered his ship to race forward at top speed. It was just enough to get them into range. Only one shot from his first volley missed. Suddenly the Jraenar found themselves without shields. They returned fire, most of their shots missing, but enough not, so that Gau'qan was left with little to no armor. He had one more try. Moving in again, he fired. The other ship lost a engine and several of its beams. The field was now level. Firing again, the Jraenar completely missed, and not only that, but they turned the wrong way, right into Gau'qan's bull rush. He fired all he had, point blank. The ship was nearly gutted. It fired one Last partially powered beam and attempted to turn and run, before Gau'qan reduced it to bulk heads and frozen meat. Do you have something to drink back there? That will do nicely.

A colony ship from the Fluidic Imperium is causing quite an uproar with in the High Counsel. After tackling the Black Hole in Lenoltris the ship is apparently running on reserve energy heading south...toward the uncharted corner of the galaxy...our uncharted corner. We've offered them fuel, if they would turn around and return home. They refuse, saying they are merely exploring for new lands. I say, bah!! Killing innocents is not the Klingon way, of course...it is without all honor. So what are we to do? Stand by while they snatch it from us? We've refitted an old destroyer with enough resources to cross half the galaxy and sent it to map the area. We've sent another along the southern edge of the galaxy in hope to find new allies...perharps one that can open a second front on the Jraenar.

In this Last year, we've encountered several new races. The Toltayan and the Sergetti. Both formed trade alliances with us. Neither poses a threat to the Klingon empire. We know little about them, and have only encountered them through our deep space exploration ships. The Norak still send raiding parties into Pantrissa. To stop them, we've set up a small mine field. They waste the lives of their soldiers and the tears of their mothers. A pathetic race. They fight with little honor. They have a single colony just through the WP from Pantrissa in a system called Tordan. I wonder if the High Counsel would consider taking it, as a lesson to the Norak.

And as I mentioned before, our possible ground war with the Jraenar is looking more and more like a possibility. The High Counsel has ordered the training of 300 troops and 4 heavily armored transports. Book keepers never get drafted friend...who would sell the adventure novels to the lonely widows! Haha! Don't worry friend. We are on Kronos! You live under a canopy of thick energy. Of course it works, friend. The Planetary Shield Generator is a real thing. It would take a fleet of Jraenar warships to bLast through that thing (modded the planetary shield generator to have 20,000 points, and I upped the cost in rads and minerals significantly as well)

Yes, I did come here looking for something...a copy of the lyrics from "Worf", the Klingon operetta. Do you know it? Haha!

STATISTICS: (from memory...don't have the game in front of me)
Klingon= 1st place, 30 warships, 30 planets
Norak= 12 or 13th place, 5 planets (they are growing again)
Drushocka= 14 or 13th place, 2 planets (apparently they've been hit hard)
Jraenar= 3rd place, 13 planets, extremely large research capabilities...twice mine. If they send more than 5 ships through an unmined WP, I probably can't stop them...they have some badass light cruisers.
Others ??????
