Amos - the giant head *looks cool*. Therefore, they have giant heads. End of discussion.
Suggestion: they're naturally resistant to infection by the Kurgi parasite, but their natural defenses cause their heads to swell grotesquely as the parasite tries to replicate itself inside their skull and fails to progress through its life-cycle.
I've updated the list of nations. With more slots to fill this will be, in some ways, less work.
