Re: Roundhammer
It's short form I invented for Hubschrauber (Hubz) Helicopter (Helo) I armed and armoured the Drache.
I figure it a week or so my new Campaign AAR will start.

Along with new ground weapons, the Germans have fielded yet another surprise onto the battlefield. This comes in the form of a machine called a helicopter, specifically an Attack Helicopter. It appears to have been employed down at the Battalion sized unit level in direct support of that units operations. It has the ability to take off and land vertically and hover or stand still at altitude. This has made for a deadly opponent for for ground forces.
The Tornado as it is called, is based on the Luftwaffes' first successful Helicopter the Dragon. Tornado has 1500hp power plant and is armed with a 30mm cannon, 2 MMG and an assortment of HE and AP rockets. It's primary mission is Scouting but, will attack given the right targets. They are armoured over it's vital spots. They move easily out of danger when attacked from the ground or air.

Re: Roundhammer
Thank's PanzerBob. My redneck mind just had a hard time picking that up.
Am looking forward to AAR's.

Re: Roundhammer
Wow - please post your custom OOB with the Angriffshubschrauber!! I'm normally not so fond of such what-if scenarios but in this case I'll make an exception ;-))) - and as we know the Germans had a real fancy for futuristic weapons (ever heard about 'Midgard-Schlange' and other projects like that?) and arming a helo ain't such an unlikely idea to have ...

Re: Roundhammer
Good day,
I'm going to be starting a new AAR in few days time and as part of the prelude to it will be attaching the OOB's involved. This will include my "Hubz" some X Panzers, an IFV, X Spahwagens, X Aircraft and Weapons plus new Squads and some Units. This will also include changes to the US, UK and Canadian OOB's.
I just have a couple things to play test left and I'll be forming up for my first battle.

Re: Roundhammer
Back again, I was interupted
As for the 'Midgard-Schlange' and other X Projects I'm very aware and while I could see no need for a Mole device the other E Projects figure in my Altenate History.
