Unfortunately, Zach will probably set you to AI anyway, since he only occasionally visits the forums. I would email him ASAP if you want to stay in the game.

I've finally made my first mistake in this game. I didn't know Vanheim would have such a big army. I could not afford to make mistakes. One mistake is devastating in my current state...
...this means I'm going down. This one mistake will have a ripple effect unless someone stops attacking me.
