Re: Multiplayer connection error
Ye, i am pretty sure i'm entering the port and server ip address, i tried several times with several games.
I've bought it from a local store, and they say they ordered it from the company that created it. I don't think it is a pirated copy, as i don't have the lockups that are reported with pirated copies.
And yes, i'm sure it's not a firewall/router issue.

Re: Multiplayer connection error
What do you mean you get a red screen? The entire screen goes uniformly red?

That or a red screen will happen when you have a bad cd-key. This is an intended feature and not a bug.

Yes, here's a screenshot of how it looks:

I've also tried reinstalling it and to try and connect with patch 3.14, with it, it doesn't show the red screen, but it says server down.

Re: Multiplayer connection error
Multiple people have had the same problem as you an they either had:
A. A corrupted "key" file (delete it and restart the game)
or
B. An illegitimate version of the game (no manual, crack or whatever).
So, as someone else wrote: do you have the cd-key printed inside your manual? If not, it is positively a pirated version.

Re: Multiplayer connection error
No, i didn't get a manual with it, only the cd, a small case to put it in, and a cd-key label printed on it. But i didn't have any problems with lockups or such, and still don't. Only this red screen when i try to connect to a multiplayer game.
I guess i'll go and speak with the seller at the shop i bought it at.

Re: Multiplayer connection error
You should, as that's a pirate copy you've got. The game comes with a ~300 page ringbinder manual. No manual = pirated copy. It's also best if you contact Shrapnel technical support immediately, as I am obliged to inform the forum administrators of this.

Re: Multiplayer connection error
Contact them, and tell them what?
Also, does any of the official retailers ship worldwide? if so, which one?
