Re: Scorpion King
I think that Pantera-Cemetary Gates will be my new battle music. It seems rather appropriate.

gulp
The small peaceful Nation of Pythium glances at the score graphs and sees it is surrounded by much bigger and more powerful neighbors.
"We are traders, not fighters. A small peaceful country nestled in among the world powers. We are at war with no human players and wish peace and prosperity to all....A threat to no one, open for business with all nations."

Agartha the Great hereby declares war on the Vans! You wounded the earth and pillage the sacred earth gems! You attack Agartha's vassal Mictlan! And you attacked Agartha the Great itself and with that broke your vow when you surrendered to Agartha the Mercyful! Taste Agarthan stone evildoer!

GENGHIS KAHN: THE EMPEROR OF ALL MEN, pages 106-107:
One day in the pavilion at Karakorum he [Genghis Kahn] asked an officer of the Mongol guard what, in all the world, could bring the greatest happiness.
"The open steppe, a clear day, and a swift horse under you," responded the officer after a little thought, "and a falcon on your wrist to start up hares."
"Nay," responded the Kahn, "to crush your enemies, to see them fall at your feet -- to take their horses and goods and hear the lamentation of their women. That is best."

Agartha proudly announces two more victories!
The God of Mictlan is as dead as the huge Vanheim army that was attacking Agartha's invincible milita. Once again the Vans helplessly glammered to and fro in confusion casting harmless lightning bolts, phantasmal warriors failing phantasmical to hurt the invincible militia just to be cut in halves by stone glaives and raw Agarthan steel.
After this great battle the traitor God of Mictlan cowardly attacked the Agarthan army during the victory party. Poor blue dragon. The battle lasted merely 2 turns.
It's only a matter of time until Vanheim is destroyed and erased from the memories of all living being. Agartha knows no mercy with the sneaky, backstabbing Vans!

Poor Pythium
The small empire of Pythium, half the size of its neighbors,
has cast GOH as a purely benign gesture to alleviate the suffering of the elderly in our empire.
A glance at the score graphs show most of nations controlled by players own twice the provinces of Pythium. Since we are a peaceful nation of scholars, our borders tend to remain small.
Last turn a genie named Al KHazim entered service to Pythium. We realize that such service is temporary, but we ask as a gesture of goodwill that any nation that seeks to summon the genie have the courtesy of contacting Pythium first. Pythium rewards kindness, and punishes treachery.
Pythium will also report that constr 8 has been reached by at least 3 nations. Pythium was not the 1st, and Pythium does not have the Forge Hammer, the Chalice, the Dark Scepter, the Soulstone, or about 25 other artifacts-but someone does.
This information is a public service to save others from wasted research. Pythium-a name you trust.
Lightning and Wind come from the sky, from the gods of the sky. But Helena is your goddess, and she lives in the Earth. Does Vanheim worship a true god of the Earth, or one who comes from the heavens?
Over such matters wars will be fought and kingdoms torn asunder.

I hope you were patrolling the home province in anticipation of that, and killed it... but it sounds like you were not.
Oh well... he'll probably come straight at me again.
