Re: : The end game starts now
Karlem, I've no intention of attacking you! I'm sure you'd be trembling if I did of course...

Re: : The end game starts now
Heh, looks like the list of people who don't want to Karlem to win this game is growing thin, very thin.
-----
Some things I've learned from this game:
-I'll never again take growth scale because I'm blood nation.
-I'll never again take luck scale as any nation (Mictlan being the possible exception).
-I'll never again take Heat3/Cold3 unless my important troops have at least fire/cold resistance 50.
-Beware the NAP trap! I think Patala was the victim of this in this particular game.
-In most cases manual site searching isn't beneficial thing to do. Even in late age where site freq is lower.

Re: : The end game starts now
Zenzei, about the luck thing. I completely disagree. Luck makes turmoil a possitive scale .
O3L3 is wonderfull too, lots of markets and forts for free. Test it.
H3/C3, well, I allways take H3/C3 if nation has even 1 degree of H or C in its description, however only if the encumbrance of my main units is not high to avoid fatigue.
I like the NAP trap sentence. Quite true.
Manual site searching is usefull in the early game or to begin a new path, otherwise if you have the gems cast remote searchs.

Re: : The end game starts now
Yes, turmoil & luck have an obvious synergy but every time I take the combination it just doesn't seem to work out so well. I think reliableness of order/misfortune is better than randomness of turmoil/luck.
This inspired new words of wisdom:
-Beware the luck scale trap! It tempts you with national heroes and cool events but in the end order prevails.
Order and luck together certainly are nice but you're going to have hard time getting it without going for scales god. I like active pretenders.

Re: : The end game starts now
Seems that James was not completely sincere when his wrote his post.... let's see how this evolves but 3 on 1... I now know what Jomon felt .

Re: : The end game starts now
I, for one, am glad Arco has decided to fight Mictlan after all. The actual amount of help Arco will be able to provide remains to be seen but Ulm is hopeful.
Karlem, I don't think you are even close to the situation Jomon was. Jomon got totally overpowered(all the leaders vs him) but Mictlan certainly has a good chance of winning this war because it's only clear leader vs. some runner ups. However, I will do everything I can to make sure hideous Mictlan lies in ruins at the end.
PS: Karlem, only three more turns to go.

Good chance? Are you kidding?
I do not think I am so ahead to win this war, 3 on 1 is too much for me.
