Ha, you can hardly say you're only one nation after you cannibalized your ally for gold.
I've also still got less provinces than you do, and a good third of what I've got has a combined income of about 10 gold after you finished with it, that should put a reasonable damper on my leetness for the game.

The people of the deeps have returned to the deeps!
And what a glorious land.
In our new citadel of kelp and pearls we have found emptieness and devastation, brought by the starspawns in ancient times.
Shattered remains of a once proud people still linger in the depths, but the coral towers are broken, and the inhabitants few.
Who could imagine that the industrious and proud people of Atlantis would fall to such melanchiolia.
Nothing of the old civilization is left.
Frysen has led us to the frozen coast, wise in his ways. But we did not listen. Foolishly we wanted the depths. But the depths has nothing to give. The inland will be our home.

In other words, how come I only have crappy units and no mages to recruit in my kelp citadel

Personally I think all nations should help stop Mictlan.. this call is especially for Rhy'lleh since they seem to have a completely wrong target for conquest.

Mictlan is just strong in the beginning, there is absolutely no need to use much ressources now on them, when it will be much easier to kill them in 20 turns.
Better watch out for marignon and pythium, they will grow big and very powerful very soon.

well I must admit that it's true.. but building a castle near my border, keeping your pretender there 24/7 to increase dominion and taking the last of 2 indies on my shore and building a temple there if you are Rýleh with a nasty dominion influence could be seen as hostile by some
not to mention keeping a host of troops and lesser othernesses etc on my border

Hehe. Well, you made it that way KO. I've complained several times about the abysmal recruiting that LA Atlantis can do underwater. About the only saving grace is that an H3 priest shows up in PD when you build it to 20.

It'd be nice if the modding engine supported amphibious recruitment, land/coastal recruitment for sea nations, etc. This way we could test out some extra underwater recruitment on our own.
