Resistance to elements protects from fatigue?

I took it as a joke and an argument against giving fire resistance to Machaka
and similar nations, in the vein of:

"Everyone knows that Africans do not have a resistance to fire, despite being
used to the heat, and able to farm/hunt/thrive in a hot climate."

I know that many people do not accept arguments based on Real Life, but I do.
I do not claim to know how magic works, but I prefer it when common sense agrees
with matters pertaining to weapons, armour, fatigue, supplies, and everything
that does exist in real life.
