Re: FunnelEaredBat - MA game for new players
Griefor, a new player, will be taking over Marignon. He should have received the current turn just now.

Welcome !
PS to Arcos :
Hum, you actually hid in the castle !
Damn you, I hate fighting castles... maybe I should just let you starve to death there...

Re: FunnelEaredBat - MA game for new players
Hi guys.
This is hard, I really have no clue what to do against those nasty golems. One is even named "THE BANE OF MARIGNON".
Besides that, I really have no clue what Marignon's plans were, if they had any.

kasnavada, my troops are far from starving. They are all drunk on endless bags of wine . Your troops aren't looking so healthy, according to the battle report. I was hoping my walls would hold out a bit londer, but I shouldn't have expected so much from a Pan built castle .
Griefor, welcome to the game. Magic duel works well if its the astral golems.

Re: FunnelEaredBat - MA game for new players
Well, you did manage to take the castle in the first place... It's no wonder the walls are weak now that you demolished them and rebuilt them ! More seriously, there is no castle anywhere that could have withstood the demolition team that I put to work here.
And, I do remember, that you did try to destroy those walls for a long while and retreated before being able to do so a while ago...

Re: FunnelEaredBat - MA game for new players
Hi Griefor,
I am a recent sub as well. Although I got severely broken and almost destroyed C'tis where as you got still powerful with lots of men and provinces and income Marignon.
First point I guess is I don't think Marignon was well liked in his earlir incarnation, talk of NAP breaking and double dealing and all that.
Secondly I don't think Marignon had any actual plans. Flaming arrows and lots of crossbows seemed to be about it, and if that didn't work then he was screwed.
There is a discussion a bit earlier where profanicus killed SiyfkA's golem with magic duel. But my advice would be to get stuck into Ulm and leave C'tis alone.

I'm not so sure about that, Marignon is in a tight spot I think. Time will tell I guess. But at least he has a fair bit of land.
