boar of carnutes slots
Why does the boar only have two misc slots? I think head and possibly two feet would fit very well, or even body? But at least the head slot would be really thematic, I think.
After all, a pig's head doesn't differ more from a human's than those of a cyclope, let's say. And it's supposed to be intelligent, with leadership and all.
Neither would it make the summon overpowered, I think.

Re: boar of carnutes slots
All animals only have 2 misc slots. The items we're talking about are made for use by humans/humanoids, so boots, body armor or helmets would not fit animals.

Re: boar of carnutes slots
Though a helmet fits a wyrm, it doesn't fit a boar. It's just a game convention.

Re: boar of carnutes slots
The hat is a lie. There is no hat.
It's not the shape of the head, but the fact that animals' necks are horizontal instead of vertical, and how that affects the movements of their heads and prevents them from wielding helmets (which guard the human neck).

Re: boar of carnutes slots
Perhaps you could forge a custom animal hat. After all, there are people who make sweaters and booties for their dogs.

Re: boar of carnutes slots
And medieval warhorses had head armor, sometimes. It's just forged differently.

Re: boar of carnutes slots
but then the wyrm does have a head slot.
What about the troglodyte(?) commander?
Seriously, the boar is supposed to be intelligent, he can lead - ie. give orders to - humans! It's not just an animal.
And it's really simple to put a hat on a pig's head.
I wonder where the boar puts the rings, though.

Re: boar of carnutes slots
It looks silly. That is the reason a boar can't wear a hat.

Re: boar of carnutes slots
The reason the Wyrm can wear the hat is that when the mechanic for multiple slots for specifik bodyparts were implmented the Wyrm was the only easily available commander with two heads. Since JK thought it was a waste for there to be no commanders that could utilise two helmets the wyrm was changed so it could also have a head slot. This then became a precedent for most snake headed monsters.
