That would mean different machine signatures. I would assume that would trigger the protection.

yes, exactly. you'd best use different DOM3_CONF / DOM3_SAVE directories then, though. search for that word for more info. otherwise you'll either have to juggle with the savegames through renaming, or you need to always enter both passwords.
