				 monster boar sieging?
 Hi,
I'm not sure if this is wanted or not but to me it is strange.

 The story is like that:
I casted monster boar at Caelum's capital a long time ago. He never bothered to patrol for it. Now, I finally took his castle there, and, behold, got sieged by the boar!

 What is this?
The description only says that it produces unrest but sieging a castle?

Sieges and events work in strange ways. If a vampire attacks a province you're sieging, it doesn't actually appear before the siege ends. |

It actually works with other nations also.
Any third party (indies from events or sneaking armies) set to "defend" on province with ongoing siege do nothing until immediately after the siege is resolved one way or another. At that point those units attack the fort.

I had the following thing twice in a row in a recent game as R'lyeh.
I conquered some province, previously owned by someone else, raised PD and next turn had my province conquered by villains who were hiding there and causing unrest. R'lyeh chaff is smashed by archers, you know . Previous owners of the provinces had the event but didn't bother to catch the bandits. |

There's an event that has bandits causing unrest in a province until caught. He probably raised the PD high enough to catch them.
Boar should do the same thing

I had no idea you could catch those bandits. I thought it was just an event that raised unrest temporarily. It's even more interesting that they can conquer the province.

I think there's both. Just a bandit unrest event and another one where the message says they'll stay.
I've only seen it with LA Ermor, so it may take bad scales

No, I had it with Marverni and good scales.
The thing is, everything works as supposed to until someone conquers the fort. Then the boar - causing unrest and hiding until now - sieges the fortress before I had the chance to raise PD. That looks like a bug to me.

Seems similar to what ano describes, although the boar didn't attack me while I sieged the fort.

Check the shortlist for the various siege related bugs. There's a whole slew of them. This is just a normal manifestation of that. |
