Getting caught up
Gentlemen,
It's been so long since I've fired up SEIV that I've nearly forgotten everything. SEV made me angry, and I'll probably never touch it again. A few questions, if you have the time regarding SEIV:
- Kwok's Balance Mod was great for SEV, and as far as I could tell, was a Mod "standard". Was there any popular mod that didn't change the spirit of the game that only served to advance the AI / fix imbalances?
- What unfixed bugs are remaining?

Re: Getting caught up
Make sure to peruse the Newbie FAQ/Manual to refresh your knowledge.
Known bugs are on the wiki as well.
TDM is a mod that only enhances the AI (and adds a few formations). It does nothing to fix the problems with the stock tech tree though, but its nowhere near as bad as SE5's ludicrous 100 levels.

Even so, I could beat those guys even at high bonus.
If you don't mind it being different from stock, there are mods which provide very challenging AIs even with no bonus and no cheat techs.

Re: Getting caught up
Fyron, is this all the known bugs after the very last SE4 patch?
EDIT: (reading the wiki on known bugs)

Re: Getting caught up
Sorry, I will rephrase the question.
On this link:
http://wiki.spaceempires.net/index.p...ugs_%28SEIV%29
Regarding the bugs listed, are these since the game came out? Does the latest patch fix most of them? I can't believe that the list is that huge after 1.95

Re: Getting caught up
That looks like a current list to me, although I imagine MM probably considers some of them "requests" or "design limitations" or "would be nice - will never be changed" type things.

Re: Getting caught up
Aaron apparently missed all the emails of the list I sent him before Deluxe came out, and again before he put out the 1.95 patch and stopped working on SE4..

Re: Getting caught up
Those are the known bugs that still hadn't been fixed by v1.95.
If that seems like a lot, compare it to the list of bugs that were fixed in History.txt .
