If the only reason why turns don't go faster is Pythium not playing anymore, we should ask Pythium whether they want to keep playing and if not, turn them into ai.

On games hosted on Llamaserver the general rule is that if a player is going to be away and cannot find a sub he/she should set the nation to AI before sending in the last turn. If this is not done, then the only one who can set the nation to AI is Llamabeast. My understanding is that its doable, but it's a pain and he's asked players to avoid this if at all possible.

That said, we shouldn't have two more weeks of stale turns from Pythium. Since I've just finished my turn and really don't want to redo it, I propose that we let this turn host (it is set to quick host BTW), and then PM Llama and request that he set Pythium to AI. Does anyone disagree?

Well, I have joined more games, but I would rather play two turns a day in one game than one turn every 48 hours in 4 games. For me, it's the immersion factor.

I work from 7am to 11 pm. Once every 2 days is more than enough.

Quickhost just gives you the option, it does not force you to do a turn each day.

Sheesh, Sum1. I would say once every 2 days is enough. I think JimMorrison is right, though. With quickhost, if everyone's in, it will run. If you can't make it, no biggie.

48-hour quickhost will sometimes force people to do two turns on two consecutive days, since the hosting time automatically creeps back unless somebody somehow exactly hits the deadline every turn. Something like 54-hour quickhost would be a more reasonable way to ensure that everybody can do a turn every other day if they want.

I'm just saying that to say it though, I don't object to quickhost in this game.

Sure, 54 hour quickhost, hell, 60 hour quickhost would be fine by me, I'm reasonably sure that in most cases it will move along at a better rate - while still giving people on more limited gaming time the chance to not be rushed with their turn. <3
