Gandalf... why do you have the fountain of blood equipped to use the "Treelord's Staff", "Skullface", "Armor of Souls", and "Boots of the Behemoth" ?
Do you have the wrong God listed ?
OR
Did you forget to add the correct mage/commander ?

You are right. I mixed god files there. Good catch.
Oh well 
A bad example just makes it easier for people to make an effort to outdo it. Obviously someone can come up with something better. I look forward to seeing some.

It's important to know the #god must exist within the starting capital province of its nation, thus make sure the #specstart matches the #setland using #god.
The number 21 can be changed to any nation number wanting to use this pretender. Nothing balanced about this pretender and its scales, but it will provide a very strong AI opponent.

Is that for a hosted game? Or a direct play game?
I didnt seem to need a #specstart but I will test it abit more

These are for direct play games and hotseat games.
The #god only works on the nations capital province. The only way to guarantee the god command will work is by specifying the starting capital province using #specstart.
Perhaps a future fix will allow #god to be placed anywhere, thus allowing its death to generate an instant war between nations.
