There also appears to be quite pronounced bigotry dependant on whereabouts you live in the state.
Interesting, the base conclusion has to be to move out to California, the weather is better and the young ladies are all "enhanced"

Why are you surprised at the regional chauvinism? Isn't it the same, or even worse, in Europe? At least here there are highway driving distances between the 'divisions' of the populace. In Britain, and even in the denser cities of the US, there are neighborhoods that have distinct identities and hate each other. Now that's weird. People in the same city having 'cultural differences' with each other...
And I agree with Geo, Ohio is a nice enough place to live if you can deal with freakish weather. (Though it should be noted that the past decade has been especially freakish with the seasons getting all mishmashed...) It's just provincial and so rather difficult for 'visiting' types to stomach.

You know what it is, Geo? Bman has finally figured out where on the starmap my own tiny, peaceful empire is located. And now he's just panting with eagerness to come and kick some monkey-butt...

Three out of five is not too bad. The problem is it takes almost the full 48 hours in order to inspect each ship in my mindnumbingly vast armada individually and make sure there are no dissidents on board and to make sure that all the targetting computers know what a monkey looks like so they don't miss when they see one!

Re: Important notice for PBW Users.
Sweet! Is it ready yet!
Seriously, can you strap a webcam on top of your head so we can all watch as you assemble it? We won't mind if you stop to watch a naughty video every now and then either!

I am probably going to regret telling you all this, but I have received the server, and it's in one piece.
I am still going to need a couple days to get it set up in the new location, so don't plan on being able to use PBW before Monday night sometime. But you can rest assured it didn't get lost in the mail at least.

Baron, I think that you are wrong there - we dont have that level of cultural dimorphication in our cities - you have to remember for example that England is only about twice the size of California (it could be less actually), yet has about 3 times the population.
The dichotomy of our populations are not generally as pronounced as the US, and generally Europe is a lot more homogenous, even with the mutiple nations.
See if you can get some of the cool leading edge social anthropological films out at the moment from the nearest univeristy to you - I reccomend "Domov" (Czech for "home") by Rosei Read - excellent stuff that should give you a useful insight into the two main anthropological substrains in Europe

Re: Important notice for PBW Users.
So, what's the url on that webcam, and is it up yet?
Also, Geo, could you setup an IRC channel, please, and monitor it closely? I'm thinking that as we watch you work on the webcam, we're going to want to offer you advice and suggestions...
