it may be that the complete CBM package contains the mod, but enabling CBM isn't enabling worthy heroes; so that you do have to enable it seperately.
i don't really know though, just enable it to be safe, I say. actually though, i don't think it matters when you make your pretender. and i think the game file will have it enabled, and it will turn on automatically when you open the game. so in the end it probably is all moot. but enable it anyway.
