I was more thinking of something like an open speech by your pretender -

"Look guys, we've been talking about that 'god' thingy quite a few times now, and I appreciate your devotion - your temples, blood sacrifices etc - but you shouldn't take that too seriously, you know, and just form militias... relax, have a drink on me and maybe deliver your virgin daughter to the local temple - but please leave the fighting to the men that have learned something about it, thanks!".

On an unrelated note - I'll submit my turn tomorrow in the morning (<12 hours), so we can get going again, leaving only 25% of the the turns left to play then
