About the ministers the answer is obvious, its not the ministers who got used to the player but the player who got used to the ministers.

Have anyone checked, maybe racial age gives you Production, Research, Intel, Combat and Happiness bonuses? Usualy those are the "various areas" as MM said.

I doubt it. It took me less than 2 hours of placing a book on the f12 key to get to God-Like age. Maybe if it wasn't so easy to cheat on Race Age, then it could/would have benefits.
