I guess I can't really feel that bad. My plan was to make a ridiculous amount of minstrels, and capital-unrest-rush whomever my neighbor was. I wasn't really planning on getting a dragon dropped on my capital that early. I also had unrest events in my capital on turn 2, and 3, meaning I couldn't capitalize on the mercenaries!

Also, you have ballz of steel for dropping your dragon into my capital like that. I did that once with a wyrm, and he just got his proverbial butt kicked. Maybe dragons are considered more durable than I thought?

 To be honest, I completely misread your scales.  I saw early heat scales from opposing dominions and no real incursions with my scouts.  As a result,  I predicted that you were Bandar (crappy PD, no real defense against a dragon, which was awed + dual pathed to give some extra defense + quickness if need be save blessed sacreds which your scales looked too high to do) and made the air drop from there.  You might also find it amusing that I jacked up the pd on a bunch of provinces because I was anticipating an atavi archer stealth raid.  Imagine my surprise when I saw blessed wardens instead!  (ouch!! I was pretty scared of those =) ) Thankfully my research priority was lightning bolt and regeneration so it was just a matter of stalling/harrassing till my mages + chaff were in place. |

 I think the heat scales were from summer, not from mine. I'm pretty sure I had very good scales, including neutral temprature.
 I think there was one point where I could have won a really important battle, where you attacked into the 30 PD province. I didn't think you'd do that, and if I had my wardens there + my archers I'm pretty sure it would have been a rout.
