Tank, model year 1972
I was just playing this morning a match between E. Germany and GB circa Aug, 1990 and I noticed a strange thing. The turret of the T-72 I was using had the shape of an Easter egg of the color green, is this really how it looks from top down? If not is it going to be changed in the next patch?
Please keep in mind if the turret really looks like a ovular green Easter egg then I retract my comments.
Sincerely,
Andrew Nault

If I only knew how to post a pictue I could show you, but if you start up the game you can see yourself.
All I'm asking: Is that the way its supposed to look? I've never seen a russian tank with a oval turret. The only tank that comes to mind really is the Tiger II.

Re: Tank, model year 1972
I look at it like this Ramm. Don and Andy have been working on this stuff intensely for well over a decade. I trust thier judgement regarding these games. I mean lets face it ,they are the OnLY people I know of actively working on and refining a current steel panthers game(s).
Now they are human and occasionaly make an error. Who doesn't?
So if you find a piece of equipment or whatnot you don't think is right, dig up some info on it and present it in the way's they have outlined.
But just making a post saying that a tank turret looks like an easter egg isn't very productive.
MY 2 cents

Are you telling me I can't point out that the game icon looks different than the picture gila kindly provided for us because you think it not helpfull? It is my duty to reveal any shortcomings to make a more enjoyable game In my defense I'm not a expert in field of library science so reaserch does not come easy for me.
By the way thanks gila, maybe I am looking for easter eggs a little early

Your going to do whatever you want to.
I was just pointing out your methods could use some refining.
When you take 92 nations into account over a 74 year period thats a boatload of military gear.

Andrew they will move it but read the sticky on reporting OOB errors in TO&Es forum I think which is where possible OOB errors belong. Basically you switch on unit ID numbers (or something similar) in preffs

Re: Tank, model year 1972
I have no idea where the egg you are talking about is. I set up a battle between e german and gb aug 1990 and both the t-72 versions available for Egermany look nothing like an easter egg.

Re: Tank, model year 1972
It's bit wider in the front turret,
An accurate as possible icon IMHO
