Re: Something You Do Not Do!
Gosh, didn't Mikey from that cereal commercial die by eating pop rocks and drinking Coca Cola? I heard he exploded.
(Yes, this is a test to see how old you all are and if you attended grade school in the United States...)

Nah, Mikey was in the commercials for 'Life' cereal by Quaker (which has its plant in my hometown, Peterborough's claim to fame! That and Gretsky played for a season on the Peterborough Petes waaayyyy back-did'nt score a goal.)
"Give it to Mikey! He hates everything!"
"He likes it! Mikey likes it!"
(way too much useless crap inside this brain pan of mine )

Drinking alcohol makes you smarter because of the Survival of the Fittest rule:
We already know that drinking alcohol kills brain cells. But which brain cells does it kill?
Yep, you guessed it. It kills the slow ones. As a result, you are smarter. :-)

Re: Something You Do Not Do!
It is no joke. Medium alcohol consumption (1-3 drinks per day) have numeorus health benefits.
I do not have exact references in hand but can find them if necessary. There're papers in such reputed journals as Nature, Science, British Journal of Medicine etc. that document increse in longivity among moderate drinkers compared to abstensiers. Cited benefits are better cardio-vascular status, decrease in lung deseases, cancer and even Alzheimer and other forms of dementia.
