BA-10s were used after 1942. I think some were used on the Karelian front in June 1944, for example. However, I think they were used in much smaller numbers. The Encyclopaedia of Weapons of World War II has this to say about their availability:

“When the Germans invaded the Soviet Union in 1941 the BA-10 and its later derivatives were in service in some numbers with the Red Army, the number 1,200 often being quoted. However, the events of 1941 and 1942 decimated the numbers of BA-10s, and large numbers fell into German hands. The Germans found them to be serviceable vehicles, although they considered them not really modern or mobile enough for use with their Panzer units, and kept them for use with anti-partisan units both in the Soviet Union and in the Balkans. The Germans knew the BA-10 as the Panzerspähwagen BAF 203(r).

After 1942 the Soviets started to phase out the use of heavy armoured cars such as the BA-10. Those that remained were often relegated to the armoured personnel carrier role, having their turrets removed and the interiors stripped of all equipment other
than the driver's seat and controls.”

This image from the book in Russian.
BA-10 here as a mobile check point.
Hence its weapon is efficient to stop the infringer.

Also here it is written, that it is autumn of 1944.
It is clear on signs on boards.

A couple of other points about the BA-10 (Unit 041) in the game:

- It has only been given one MG: a 7.62mm DT BMG. I think it usually had a co-axial 7.62mm DT machine gun (Weapon 171) as well.

- It has been given 30 shells for its main armament. To be more precise it had 34.
