Re: Pick New Cantina Name Poll
who on earth came up with THE ROAD KILL CANTINA?
That is disgusting
How about "The Old Broken Piston" (from the joke about the man outside the pub lieing under his car who is asked by a drunkard what the problem is, "piston broke" says the fellah, "same as me then" says the drunkard)

to use the vernacular, "w00t."
and so what if the nomad is wondering, i bet he has a lot to wonder about.
GT, to paraphrase our (not your) fearless leader, "you have Mexicans in England?" (refering to GWB's not-so-famous blunder "you have Blacks in Brazil?"). seedy parasites are the best kind of parasites, i say you keep calling it a cantina.
and how about the Cue Cappa Pool Hall? you could call the line to get to the little alien's room the 'Cappa Queue.
(and now i shall duck and run for the door)

Re: Pick New Cantina Name Poll
Well, I wondered if anyone even saw my post. Apparently no one gets the references, even though we're full of Trek fans here. 10 Forward on the Enterprise-D is reasonably famous, isn't it?

Yea but Enterprise 'D' ain't real Star Trek. So how come the poll doesn't have the orignal name? I haven't been here long but but with 1270 Messages why change a classic

Re: Pick New Cantina Name Poll
Uh... TNG does have a cheese factor but what Trek series doesn't? What do you consider 'real' Trek? TOS?

Re: Pick New Cantina Name Poll
oh yeah, TOS was some hardcore sci-fi. mother of it all, no laughing matter. unless you are unfortunate enough to step on an exploding rock or were planning on hijacking a starship for a trip to the garden of eden. let us not forget 'brain, brain, what is brain?'
which reminds me of an old sluggy comic. for those (99.9%) of you who probably dont read it, the characers have accidentially transformed their friend Zoe into a camel, and are trying to fix the situation:
