King and Castle is a free, medieval/fantasy empire-building game played over the web. If that's all you need to know, then its at:

The learning curve is pretty steep, though, so expect to be monster lunch for the first few games. Reading the rules is highly recommended
I had two main objectives when I designed this game, those being:
1) It had to be open ended at both ends, meaning that players can enter and leave the game at any time without seriously impacting the gameplay of other people in the same game.
2) It had to be turn-based, with no turn deadlines, allowing people to play as much or as little as they like. That said, addicted insomniacs should
not get a significant advantage over the more casual player.
Objective (2) is the tough one, of course, but that's what makes a game a SPOGWOPII (Single Player Online Game With Other People In It). A SPOGWOPII is an ostensibly multiplayer game, in which you may profit from an in-game encounter with another player. Despite this, the game's emphasis remains on the single-player gameplay.
Try it out and tell me if its "working as intended"
