Question How the Crystal Heart works

How does it work. Based on the description given on the game, I understand that if commander has the Crystal Heart equipped and the unit is killed on battle, it will restore its all HP. Is the Crystal Heart removed from the item slot of the commander after it is used? If it does not, will it work again? Also, will it work if the unit dies outside of battle from a disease or the such? TNX.

1. Yes it's removed.

2. If it wasn't removed? I assume it would work again.

3. If he dies from damage or an instadeath spell, yes. If he dies from disease, probably not (though I have not tested).

If an item is cursed, it can only be removed by dying (permanently) or changing shape into another form that doesn't have the slot you're trying to remove the item from.

You don't need to die permanently, immortals lose all their items when they die (temporarily).
