Re: #12 Armed Intervention 1999 campaign
Good advice indeed,
Looking at my roster,i don't think i did as badly as i may of made it seem.
Here is the lowdown:
Destroyed units
1 scout
2x jeeps
2x leopards
1 tow team
Damaged units (not availible for next battle)
2x Apc(M113A2)
1 Apc eng.dozer
Still have plenty scouts and all leg units have some sort of transport, although have to piggyback some on the Leo's.
No Aux support this time,i'm on my own, eyes in the sky would been helpful

Re: #12 Armed Intervention 1999 campaign
You are supposed to be playing as Canadians not the good old USA if I remember the mission breif USA asked them to step in.
From what I can now gather the majority of pain inflicted on your troops was Blue fire.
STOP IT

Can you explain WTF,you are refering to?
I'm playing as the Canadians!
Not the U.S.
Or maybe what you don't understand is not everyone is trying to cheat, certainly not in a User created campaign.
You may do that, but not "I"
Back it up,or stay the hell, outa my thread

Re: #12 Armed Intervention 1999 campaign
Cripes I am in the force commanders gunsights
Cheating??
Realise you are Canadians was insinuating that played as if you were U.S.
In other words not only did you cause havoc to the enemy you also manged to cause more damage to your own forces than they did, whoops.

To make matters worse, lost 2 Leo's to friendly Hornets airstrikes, also had bad arty calls on my own guys as well in the confusion in town

My last battle involed a F-15 smoking (ironicly enough) one of my own SP-SAM units. You would think that the pilot got the briefing that the enemy didn't have any AFVs in the area of attack.
Granted it could have been a Transforms 2 moment:
"I hope those pilots are acurate. I told them to hit the orange smoke." When the commander looks around at all of the orange smoke that has appeared right next to their position - "it wasn't one of my better throws." (initiate running for your life).
Good luck on your next battle, Gila. I miss our PBEM games, but my schedule just doesn't allow it.

Re: #12 Armed Intervention 1999 campaign
Second battle ended in a dismal failure,Ecudorians used defense in depth which wore down my infrantry to skeleton forces, and not enough left (with low repair pts) to attempt the next one, still had fun trying
