Do pretenders recover from afflictions when resurrected?

(For that matter, what happens to immortal beings when they die, do they recover from afflictions inflicted prior?)

OK the game is back up and seems fine (knock on virtual wood)

This was a Lockheed Fix (military term meaning I didnt do anything but when I tried it again it worked)

Afflictions carry over, but the Kraken heals afflictions, so he'll be okay.

And with that ridiculous number of hit points, he'd still be a pain to kill even if he was feebleminded and had no tentacles left!
