When my computer starts freezing,normaly when the weather starts warming,it's an overheating problem,
and time to bring it in and have a through cleaning done,if you have pets,you would be amazed on how much hair and dander gets in during the winter!
Also have them check the fans and replace if needed.

Had a box that I kept on the floor beside my desk, on a short pile carpet.

Opened it after about 3 years - and it seemed to have ingested half the carpet through its cooling vents. It was absolutely stuffed with compacted felt. Felt is a very good insulator.

It ran much better thereafter once that was dealt with and it was moved on top of the desk!.

And yes - it had been starting to have random lock-ups/freezes. Entirely due to having the carpet felt stuffing.
