It's one per sector. You can put as many as you want in the sector of course, but you will only get the resources from one of each type.
Right. Only one vessel gets to mine. But you can have multiple components working on that one vessel.
Now I don't know what happens if you put a mining satelite and a mining base in the same sector (over a planet let's say). Do you get resources from the first laid? The one with the best resource gather rate?

What if you put a remote miner over a neighbours planet, do you start to degrade his planet? What if you put a remote miner in the same sector as an allied remote miner, does only one work?

Only UNinhabited planets can be mined. Another reason to get possessive of a system even if you cannot colonize all the planets. What happens when two different empires have remote miners in the same sector, I don't know.

Right, but I was refering to sattelites. If you place three sattelites in a sector, one of each kind, you get all three resources. I think becasue the sat group is considered as one vehicle or something. But that would make you think you could put many sats of the same kind. You used to be able to do that, but that was changed.

Baron, in regards to miners from 2 empires in same sector, I've had games where there was AI miners in a system, I put in 1 or more and mined what they weren't and I still received resources, however, I did not ck the status of the AI miners who were there lst to see if they were still receiving, I will have to ck this out lst chance I get.

Of course - the ships would have to be chalk-white as well - maybe striped?

You've seen the AI use remote extraction? What mod was this? And what Version/patch level of the game?

A question remains:

If using a ship to mine with and you set it to SENTRY - will it still mine?
