"Now that was two years ago. I wonder if the service has improved?"

No.

Atrocities:

My sister works at the customer service company that used to work with Qwest. She used to tell me all the stories of how Qwest would "slam" their customers and even sign up people without their permission. My friend actually worked for Qwest and told me how people in their sales division would actually be pushed to do this. I believe that Qwest is now being sued by many people over these issues.

It seems that Qwest recently got bitten by the Anderson/Allen (?) accounting firm (the same one as for Enron). They announced today (yesterday?) that they would be having to re-release their quarterly earnings reports for the Last 3 years! Y-ouch!

Arthur Anderson is the accounting firm you're thinking of.

Big surprise that they're involved in another scandal; I have friends working as subcontractors to Accenture, which was spun off from Arthur Anderson before the recent scandals hit. And my friends' opinion of Accenture is VERY poor. Sounds like the corporate culture encouraged unethical behavior...
