Ah c'mon,

Scandanvia is the popular tourist site for the Lizards! It goes well with our cold-bloodedness.

I hope the rest of the world is observing the aggression that is about to take place from Helheim. Once he smashes our peaceful lands He'll be adding a lot of land to his nation. It might be wise to stop him now before he grows stronger and stronger!

Thanks for not using them or recruiting any more, megawidget. Next game I need to remember to crack open the mod and see if I can fix this.

I found this same site in the game MadnessOfKings, and haven't been recruiting them - so I'm putting my money where my mouth is on this one :-)

I mean the site is an Atlantian city of Shamblers. I don't believe it giving access to recruitable Ettins is WAI (working as intended). Indeed, it was probably intended to give you access to Consort Queens or that priest Atlantian that you get on that mercenary group. Exploiting the 0g commander/thug chassis is gamey.

For now, can the Ettins and leave them in your capital, I'd say. Or kill them off creatively. An alteration site giving a discount to wish still has very high barriers to use (the paths, the initial gems, etc.).

FYI, other "gamey" actions which are not allowed include flooding a nation who has just put up Forge of the Ancients with 40 magic trinkets, etc. Use your own judgement, and if you believe it might be questionable, ask.

IC: Hey, this map is like Europe, and scaly lizardmen are located in Scandinavia! Hey, we want our oil and lutefisk back.

I'll send you a PM, but I can spot the 5W for a ring of water breathing if you (or someone else) has an actual water mage to make the ring itself.

Oh, please don't. That's my responsibility. I'm Atlantis, so you would think I would have both the water gems and a water mage to do that -- and I presently do for the latter.
I'll have the water gems for it once I'm done site-searching. You probably can't really tell I've been doing a lot of site searching.

Somehow I thought elemental provinces were more common underwater than that.

I probably shouldn't admit this, but I have trouble seeing why Ettins are worth so much. 14 gems for a mediocre chassis seems too expensive.

But then, 0 gold is also way too cheap

I think that's a legitimate question. I think a useful comparison is to Bane Lords- they have less strength, less health, and undead vulnerabilities, but full cold and poison resist, zero enc, and good starting armor, all for 12 death gems. Ettins have better health, strength, shock resistance, and an extra arm slot, but they are not good without gear, so they are more expensive when you factor in the need to give them armor. So I think they probably are overpriced, but only by a few gems.

but, yeah, a free ettin per turn is way unfair
