Well, I have tried to take the province twice, and succeeded on the second try only to have you show up and scatter my army.

At that point I actually assumed you were invading because it was so close to my capital so I actually prepped a horror-marking squad just for you and moved it close, wasting some research time. Also, you didn't communicate at all outside of the in-game messaging so I had no means of knowing you weren't on the offensive. So, I was getting peeved. It didn't occur to me that your own capital would be so close, or that you'd be expanding blindly so close to my own capital.
Sorry about the afflictions, but it's what C'tis is good at. I'm sure you would've done the same to me.
