I apologize if that came off annoyed. However, it sounded like you were asking people to specifically recruit you for games, and it's an inefficient process if that were the case for everyone.
If there aren't any games, I suggest you start one. It's pretty simple (just create a thread, choose and specify the settings [from number of players, mod, map, and any special changes to the default settings [like HoF, number of magic sites, etc.], and the server you'll use to host). Most games on this forum use llamaserver, so you can look up how to start up a game that way (fairly simple).
If you still want a game and don't want to host it, I'm considering hosting another one (although managing turns for 4 MP games at a time is probably a terrible idea).

I am thinking about starting a game, the problem is that I am a complete newb and whilst the mechanics of actually running the game im sure are not that difficult - its the nuances ie what races are balanced, what are the exploits, how to guard against cheating ect that I am not comfortable with!
